Spaying & Neutering

Information You Need To Know

I already did a little blog post about this topic but I believe it needs it own section because of the importance in spaying and neutering your bunnies and any animal for that matter, we just focus on bunnies here!

For starters, rabbits will live a much longer and healthier life if they are spayed/neutered. Why? How? Because when rabbits aren't fixed they are constantly territorial, hormonal, etc. And because of that they are most likely stressed a lot of the time because they don't want things going into their space, they think they need to pee/poop everywhere to make sure that their territory is safe. Now, don't get me wrong I had Reese not neutered for 2 years but when he did get neutered I could tell he was a lot more relaxed, etc. He uses his litterbox now, he does way more zoomies and binkies which tells me he is happy. Which makes me happy and I think that it was worth it! Not only that but, by doing that, I ruled out a lot of possible bad outcomes, l accidental litters (already had that happen) and probably the worst, cancer. The best thing about getting your rabbit fixed is that you can get them a partner and as long the partner is fixed you can bond them and witness a lifetime love between the two.
