Should I Bond My Bunny With a Non-Fixed Bunny?

The short answer is no, the few people that have successful with it are definitely lucky! Either way, you shouldn't attempt to bond your bunnies if they are not spayed/neutered. Once the hormones kick in, the one that isn't fixed is probably going to try to hump your other bunny and the fixed bunny will most likely be annoyed and it could result in a fight.

I recommend not housing any rabbits that are not fixed together, just for the safety of both buns! Bunnies are super territorial too, which is also another reason that this wouldn't be a very good idea since one bunny would be more territorial than the other!

If you rescue a bunny from a shelter they will probably be spayed/neutered already or you can try to find someone that is re-homing a bunny that is already fixed! I would have loved to do that since its pretty stressful after the spay/neuter to get them to try to eat, etc but, it is totally worth it!! I see fixed bunnies all the time that are being re-homed!

A little personal experience with trying to bond Reese & Timbit together, it only lasted 2 weeks before Timbit got too hormonal! They acted like a bonded pair and then Timbit wanted to claim the territory and then they were starting to fight and were separated immediately so, until you have both of your bunnies fixed, just keep them separated! It is better to be safe than sorry!
